Vote for the best bounty
0033 - January 12th, 2009

After a quick round of gathering ideas, Karl from haikuware has opened a poll to decide on a new coding bounty to open.

Karl: So we should have a bit of money available (~$750) for a new bounty. I received a lot of feedback for new bounty requests, now it’s your turn to have your say and vote for a new bounty!

In the past Haikuware already awarded over USD 4000,- (!) to various projects. Currently there are two projects open for donation, Flash and Documentation and when the poll closes a third will be added. Popular poll options include:

  • Wireless Network Stack
  • Haiku Alpha Blocking Bugs
  • Flash Support
  • GTK

Voting is done here and don’t forget to donate, the bounties can be just the little stimulation for devs to actually sit down and fix something!

Only one thing wrong with that Poll ! No "all of the above" button . . . :-)

That would take some serious donating than! In these times of crisis it's not likely that the bounty reserve will tenfold.. ;)

I've put in my vote for wireless networking. It was a toss-up between that and Flash support, but I think wifi support is more essential, since Flash is normally used for supplemental content or video (and in the case of video, there are ways to get at the video content without Flash support). » Bounty-poll results on 2009-01-15 at 18:09 (Reply)
