Design is something subjective. One likes it another doesn’t.

There are some design bugs, the window shouldn’t be resizable
You don’t need to enter the paths by hand a doubleclick on the textbox opens up a filechooser dialog.
I am currently working on a new bugfixed version

It looks like it depends on the .NET framework (not sure which version). If you don’t have .NET installed, that could be the source of the problem.

Xp pro sp3, the same os I am using, and no not from the zip folder.

It works fine here (XP Pro, SP3). Were you trying to run it from inside the zip file, maybe?

Haiku on a stick does not work.

The software does not run at all. Windows xp complains “The application failed to initialize properly(0xc0000135)”.

Yikes! If zevenos is as crappy as that front-end, it… fits right in with the rest of the other scriptkiddy linux distros… It’s the epitome of the difference between a half-assed linux app and Haiku. Fugly skinning? Enter paths by hand in a textbox? Resizable window without resizing the content? Strings and widgets drawn all over each other? Are you serious?
Stick to “dd” from the commandline everyone. It’s so much more cleaner.

Just to mention there is a linux variant also avaiable (originaly developed for ZevenOS) for download.
The Haiku DD-Installer can Install Haiku Raw Image on a USB Stick or Harddisk very easily.
