		<description>Those are UNIX apps - none of them are Linux-specific so far as I know. They should  be compatible with just about any POSIX-compliant OS, including Linux, or Haiku, or plain &#039;ol BeOS. In fact, most of the apps in that list have been available for BeOS for years now (joe, lame, wget, curl, and bzip2 are all installed on my R5 system).

The ability to install &amp; use POSIX apps doesn&#039;t mean that Haiku is &quot;becoming another Linux&quot; - any more than the existence of WINE means that Linux is &quot;becoming another Windows.&quot;</description>
