<blockquote cite"luposian">When translating German to English, does it ever occur to anyone to get someone who speaks BOTH languages, to translate the document.. you know, oh… say… someone like Axel Dorfler?</blockquote>

I'm not sure that Axel offers free translation services :)

Or is the actual sentence structure of German so different, that translating it leaves you with an accurate English translation that doesn't make much sense?

If that's the case, surely someone must be able to figure out how to restructure the sentences to the way we talk in America.

BeOS won't die, if anything it should make it stronger. This should be an incentive to work even harder to make darned sure that it doesn't die with this. I first tried BeOS 7 years ago, a few months after first trying Linux. I knew then that BeOS was far superior than Linux was. Many times I'd seen myself using BeOS more often than Windows. Now, 7 years later, BeOS is still, in my opinion, far superior than Linux. Linux, I find has only gotten prettier and this means nothing if it's just as unusable as it was 7 years ago. The underlying complexities to make it run just right are still there, strangely. It still takes a good amount of technical knowhow for the simplest things that, say, a Windows power user, would like control over. BeOS, on the other hand, still runs just fine out of the box, and the things that hold Linux back are quite simple to manage within BeOS having the knowledge of running Windows. BeOS just needs a good nudge, a good number of developpers and a good amount of determination, and quite frankly I think it's doing a pretty darned good job.
