Why bother with an e-mailclient? BeMail or whatever. I don't understand this policy (same with KDE). There is always a better one out there.

Focus on the important stuff like graphics, sound, a compiler and general (debugging) stability. Let the user decide about the software he/she wants to use.

Nonetheless, I want to make a compliment to the programmers for this endeavour. I have always been a user of OS's and not a developer and just thinking about what has to be done makes my head spin ;)

Never end a question/statement in a preposition!

This is pedantry up with which we will not put.

Never end a question/statement in a preposition! ARGH! The "at" is completely unnecessary and leaves and air of complete unprofessional quality.

Haiku: Where are we?
Haiku, where are we at?

See how that works? They both convey exactly the same thing, but the first one doesn't look like it was written by a brain-dead monkey.

Jerks...

Great writeup - encouraging but realistic. Watching the Haiku project feels like watching time-lapse OS development, with how quickly they seem to be progressing these days.

It is hard to belive that this small group is so near its goal.

Now it will be only a matter of time to be recognized by other BeOs fans...
